Question Freedom Pointe Independent living?

Freedom Pointe was suggested as an option to rent a smaller condo type place.

Are there current residents of Freedom Pointe that can tell me a bit more insider info?

Share you story with me of why you chose FP to a house in the Villages.

How is living there really, is it really condo like or more an assistant living place?

Thanks in advance,
Barbara

Freedom Point is not a condo. It is a CCRC, a Continuing Care Retirement Community where you buy in and have all the levels of Independent, Assisted, Memory Care and Long Term Care available. You buy in and then pay monthly. It is a large amount of money up front but your monthly fees are less than at a regular Assisted Living type community. You get a few meals a day and other concierge services.

Make an appointment and take a tour. They will explain everything. You are sure to get the correct info from them instead of people who think they know it.

I wish it was as easy as that, I'm still not at The Villages. I'm planning my second visit, the first time I stayed for a few days at the Waterfront inn & now I would love to come back for a few months to check it out in detail. I'm single thus I was looking for an option of renting something smaller than an entire house.

Reconsider renting a manufactured home or a patio villa. Both have nice sizes for a single and you'll get a better feel for TV. And, of course, they're cheaper, especially if you don't want the high season.

Try this website and see if you can't find a place to rent.
