There will be a 1 ½ -hour Parkinson’s presentation and discussion in the vicinity of the Everglades Recreation Center from 10:00 to 11:30 AM on Monday, June 28, 2021. Learn tips for living well with Parkinson’s regardless of what stage of the disease you and your caregiver might be in. Topics include: Medical Care, Managing Drugs, Shower Safety, Ways to “unfreeze”, The Bedroom, The Bathroom, Voice, Flying, Driving, Vacationing, Walkers, Scooters, and Wheelchairs. Presenters are fellow Villagers, Edmund Smith, and Jane Masterson (PWP). They each have 23-years’ experience with the disease. They have been frequent speakers at support groups on the West coast of Florida, in Eastern Tennessee, and to small gatherings on cruise ships. Each session is limited to 16-people. There is no charge. You must sign-up to reserve a slot. Send an email to the address below to request one. Indicate how many people in your party. An acknowledgement email will provide details on where to meet. A Villages resident pass or guest pass is required.
