That's exactly what came to my mind when I saw your fun photo, Shrandell!

I'm glad somebody explained that! Not knowing much about Monty Python, I didn't get the humor. Plus had a Cockatiel go through a dangerous experience today. Still cleaning up the blood.

Off topic, Debbie--granite is in and is gorgeous. Hope you will come over in October when we return from our trip to look and see.

Isa (pronounced EEsa). We take him to The Bird's Nest at Market of Marion to have his nails, and sometimes wings, clipped. thought we should do this before we board him for a month. He's just a little guy, even small for a cockatiel. We arrived at 11, and the guy was so busy. Several huge birds ahead of us, so long wait. He finally took Isa out of his travel cage, clipped his nails, standing at his cage, in a nano second, said "That was easy," and put him back in the cage. We covered the cage and left, not realizing he never applied any styptic to his nails (stops any bleeding that might occur from clipping too close).

His cage looked like a crime scene when we uncovered him at home. Put him in his big cage and the bleeding continued. had to go back. Little birds do not have much blood to begin with, and even if they lose a blood feather, they can bleed out. The guy was very apologetic, but it was clear he didn't remember he didn't apply the styptic. Lessons learned: 12 is a less busy time to take your bird, and check to make sure he uses the styptic.

All is fine, and Isa is slowly forgiving us. Crosby the golden has been nose-in-cage commiserating with him. They are buds.

Glad you Monty Python folks "got it" Being ex Brtis, we have laughed at this skit for years. "This parrot is dead, deceased, no longer with us"... etc. My hubby, fell out laughing when he saw what our friends had not only given us, but hung it too (well, you know, mounted it). LOL
