Daily Sun reports have identified the development as The Lofts at Brownwood and stated a Spring 2020 opening. It is described as apartment-style living, with a resort-style pool, clubhouse with game room, fitness center, and space for gathering with friends.

Did you mean for your title to mostly show that apartments were being built there, rather than it would be closed permanently? Do you know if they are for assisted living or general use?

Do many people use this section of Brownwood Blvd?

Will it inconvenience you or them? What do you think will happen? Is this positive or not?

It will be closed permanently due to apartments/lofts being built there...on either side of it so therefore to connect everything they need to close it and it will be closed on June 25 ...they have already started working on the ground

We use it all the time! A negative for us but we have no say in the matter as the street is not a public street?

They are Lofts (Lofts vs apartments directly related to costs ). which will be leased on a yearly contract, not purchased. Great for those that don't want to own a house or have the maintenance associated with ownership. They will be age restricted. They will be within walking (or strolling) distance to the town square. Access to Brownwood will be off Buena Vista or Powell or 44. With the Lofts, healthcare facilities, the developers office building, the hotel and Wolfgang Puck restaurant it will have a different feel

I don't know. But here is what I guess. That this too has been carefully thought out and weighed and will be just like the rest of the decisions made here. To our advantage and theirs too.

I assume they will since the Lofts will be leased by The Villages. I would also assume the amenities fees would be levied, there would be the same restrictions as other properties in the CDD. Whether they pay county taxes, fire tax or maintenance fees will be up to the Developer, include in the lease or keep separate. Only the Developer knows and maybe that hasn't all been flushed out yet

Developer's musing to themselves; "Inconvenience to residents...or make more money?"

Developer laughs out loud.

I don't think that is how the Morse family works. A lot of folks agree with me.

Wannabes musing to themselves "I could be an independent developer and create the most popular retirement community in the world creating jobs for thousands and homes for 100s of thousands, or I could just get a government job and play it safe"

Wannabes "Guess I'll just have to be happy with my pension and take potshots from the sidelines."
