Default Party Options for 40 People

Has anyone been to a local restaurant with a private room for 30-40 people- and that did a good job? We want to have a party but we don’t want to use a rec center. So far The Waterfront and Arnold Palmer have been mentioned, any other suggestions?

The back part of Gator's Dockside in Brownwood will handle up to 100. The SU club meets there for all their televised football and basketball games. They staff up and do a great job! It's not 100% private but the bar effectively splits the place in half allowing public patrons in the front part while you are in the back part.

We had 35 people at Red Sauce and the service was A+. We had a 90% private side room/area there. We had 40 at Havana CC restaurant just before Christmas and service there was just as good but while they put up a large table it wasn’t a private area.

The Waterfront handled our Classy Ladies Christmas get together twice. One served and the other buffet.

I preferred the buffet.

We have had beautiful parties for as many as 50 at Nancy Lopez. It has been a few years however.

Evans Prairie has 2 glassed in rooms in the front part of the restaurant. I have been to parties there that were quite good.

Culver's has a back alley that can handle 100+ and with all you can eat custard. (Toppings extra.)

We had 35 people in the back room of Chefs of Napoli III on 301 and they did a fantastic job. There are doors they can close so it’s very private.
We also recently had a group of 30 in the large room at Geo’s Deli for dinner. It’s a very noisy room with high ceilings which made it hard to hear anyone but the food and service were good.

I'd recommend Lopez (they do a fabulous job) and also Chef's of Napoli.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! Now I’m off to see what’s available - I hope I haven’t waited too long!

I have been to catered events at several of the Rec Centers. Pretty much airplane meals, but not bad. Went to a wedding dinner at Katie Belles about 12 years ago....very nice, but I don't know if they still do that.
