Not everyone gets the Sun. The villages should provide information for activities without having to pay for a marketing newspaper which doesn’t really represent news other than what houses are for sale, Contractors, ads and junk.

That would be the equivalent of stopping a car on a busy road for the curiosity of watching a car accident or a train wreck. People do things like that, .....but ??????

After the unfortunate events that have recently occurred in D.C., Gov. DeSantis may be re-thinking the opening and returning to "normal" of the state. Then The Villiages would probably take their cue from that and begin scaling back on any crowd gatherings outdoors or indoors due to a need for caution. There is a good chance that it will NOT happen that way, also. It could go either way?

Do you mean ordering tickets doesn’t work? It did for me. You couldn’t get on and order until 8:30. I believe you can only order thru the 12th so if right now. |

I believe the sidewalks are public property so unless there is already a law against sitting in the sidewalk then legally they can not stop it ( or should say, should not be able to stop it)

I went to the entertainment web site at 8:30 am and was able to get the tickets online with no problem. When I looked at it again at about 3pm and may shows we're sold out

Could someone post a link to the Daily Sun's article about the squares reopening, if that's even possible? If not, does anyone know how many tickets they're releasing for each show (in total, not per person)?
Also: 1. Any thoughts on how/if they will enforce "no dancing" (even line-dancing?!?)? 2. Whether the bleachers will be available for seating. 3. I read on the tickets website that the area reserved for dancing will be blocked off. Why not let people put their chairs there? Sorry for all the questions, but shows on the squares are one of the top two or three reasons why I bought in the Villages last January (mere weeks before they shut everything down!!! - I guess timing is not my strong suit.)

Last night there were 50 people line dancing at Lake Sumter. Also, there was a line dancing class going on.......and it would be safe to say, first class. And as bonus information........City Fire was shoulder to shoulder in the outside bar.

One would think people would learn from the current events. One would also think Uncle Ronnie might wake up from his dreamworld and see the daisies that are going to start being pushed up.
