I have been doing some work on my irrigation system and find that the builders seem to have placed the pipes in some odd places. Does anyone know if there is a way to discover where the irrigation pipes are on my lot through drawings or plans? We live in one of the Villages just south of Sumter so this is not a newer build.
Thanks in advance. (please keep responses relevant to this question or irrigation - thanks.) |

I just talk to an irrigation guy today that was at my neighbor's house.
I ask if there was some way to find/follow the PVC irrigation pipes, and he said no. Also, I don't know where my control valves are. Those he said can be traced by reading/following the electric wires buried underground. I have to try holding those cobber wires together to find my pipes. |

I had to dig up the side of my house to understand the direction of the pipes. They had damaged the pipes somehow so when I moved in the side of my house was flooded all the time because of pinhole fractures in the incoming water pipe. Warranty had to come out at least 5 times until the leaks had all stopped. I had a new birdcage put in so I wanted to also reroute some sprinklers and put in a large drainage pipe that was seriously needed. I think they didn't do a very good job to start with.
