Default Advise on Villages ID

Am I the only new resident having trouble remembering to move the Villages ID from the pool bag to the pickleball bag to the golf bag...Helpful suggestions on how you keep track of the ID are appreciated. Is there an electronic version/app for iPhone? Thanks in advance for your replies.

There is no electronic version of the Villages ID card, and you cannot use a copy on your phone as identification. I would suggest you attach the card to the back of your phone or get a phone flip case that will hold the card.

Well, I keep mine in my wallet all the time and never go anywhere without my wallet. Considering my advancing age and the tenor of the times, I believe in taking official ID with me wherever I go -- driver's license, health insurance card, etc., all also in my wallet at all times. Simple.

I keep my I.D. and one of our gate cards in my wallet at all times and never leave home without it.

It’s not only new residents that forget. And I still don’t have any suggestions other than keep it with your phone. I never take my wallet to the pool, but do take my phone.

I feel your pain. Wish I (we) could pay for additional ID cards to have in each bag. That way I wouldn't have to tax my aging brain so much remembering to bring it with me.

I wish it were that simple. When I'm swimming, I do not trust my wallet sitting on the bench for anyone to walk away with. I also don't bring my phone into the pool area for the same reason.

Same here. I always have my Villages ID, drivers license, and gate card in my money clip and I never go anywhere without it. I rarely bring my cell phone with me, unless I am expecting an important call. I hate the way many people in society need to have their phones surgically attached to them.

I wear my Apple Watch all the time, it would be so easy to put an electronic ID on it. Also it would so convenient to have on the iPhone. Would the inspectors need a magnifying glass to read it?

I guess you’d need to make sure it could not be downloaded by anyone else. Maybe like airplane boarding pass, you’d need second ID perhaps it could be electronic too.

I've seen people use a badge holder and wear around their neck.

I solved my problem. I bought a house with a pool and now I don't have to worry about my ID card. No neighborhood watchman/women have come around to check it in 10 years.

I no longer carry a wallet inside the bubble. I carry the id card, drivers license, one credit card and about 40 bucks in cash held by a binder clip. My trunks have secure pockets so it all goes in the pocket. When I get home it goes on the kitchen counter open to dry. No different than my wallet just more convienient and with me all the time. The wallet goes when I leave the bubble for an extednded trip so I have my medical, ATM and CWL.

I swim laps. Can't do that in a back yard pool.
