Default Pet Rescue

Does anyone know of a local (within 15 miles of the villages) pet rescue? I have some materials that I may be in a position to donate. Did a quick search on Google maps and came up empty.

Thanks in advance.

The Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital accepts material donations - food, blankets, etc. I don't know the name of the shelter that gets stuff but I have been there when it was picked up.

I know the Marion County Animal Shelter accepts donations and has a list of things they need on their web site http://www.marioncountyfl.org/home/showdocument?id=7412. They are a no kill shelter and a very good facility with a caring staff. We adopted our cat from them. I suspect the Lake and Sumter County shelters also accept donations.

My wife volunteers at Sumter SPCA in Lake Panasoffkee. It is about 20 miles I think.

She says they always need stuff, it will depend what you have. PM me if you wish. If it works out, we could make arrangements to meet in The Villages and she will take it when she goes in.

Thank you to all, I have received a PM for the materials.

Villagers are great for providing information.
