Kathy and I visited The Villages the first week of September, as a guest of the Liefstyle home preview group. Great time! We stayed in a Gardenia-style home -- really enjoyed it!

We took a Pickleball class, and we both fell in love with the game. Having played tennis, it wasn't difficult making the transition. There are no pickleball courts back home, so we'll have to decide how to feed our hunger for the game. We plan to retire to The Villages.

ps: Do you know why they call it Pickleball? The creator of the game (in 1965) had a dog named Pickles. Pickles would always run off the court with the ball in her mouth and hide under the bushes. They thought it was so funny, they dubbed this "new game" as Pickleball. True story.
