Not sure what the difference in this and when on holidays when the course is closed the villages says you can play on the courses. Just need to respect the course and not damage the fairways.

I have read all of these posts and everyone is extremely passionate about their answer...but everyone has a different answer. There must be a golf Bible somewhere, or is it like football where the rules change yearly.

There no local police 👮*♂️. Only sheriff and I sure that’s high in priority of calls list.

I don't know what the rules were at the courses those pros played, but here in TV, closed means CLOSED

Golf course closed

There is a difference between playing "after hours" and the "course closed".
The golf division realizes that folks play after hours, that is permitted and is allowed.
The course closed means that the course is undergoing additional/extra procedures...
No one should be on the course if it is "closed".
The golf courses are NOT public property .... but taking care of the courses is critical to maintaining them in the condition expected .... paying an amenity fee does not give anyone the right to violate the rules.

That is exactly what I meant when I said it is our business. It is in everyone’s interest to keep the golf courses healthy and in good condition. If it is marked “closed” it needs to be obeyed. Paying amenities makes one tend to follow and expect others to as well, and not violate the rules.

Jurisdiction on city streets which most are in county? And I’m sure they would jump right on it on private property unless felony bing committed?

If you mean after the starter shacks close…no, they are not. Easydog is correct.

But the course is closed. That means - no golfing. No driving your cart, no playing. Closed. They're probably closed because they need to do various landscaping things with the grass. That requires that people NOT use it for awhile.

People complain when a course is in bad shape. Well how about - stop using it when it's closed, and give the groundskeepers a chance to get it into good shape. Or, keep it in lousy shape and stop complaining about it.

The same thing about people who think "well I have to pay a trail fee even if I'm a passenger, so I should get my own cart and drive alone" - well sure. But if everyone thought that way, there'd be a lot more problems with the courses, and they'd be whining even more about it.

I was absolutely positive that this older generation (those people in their 70's and 80's) are the ones who taught MY generation to do the right thing, simply because it was the right thing to do. Maybe they've forgotten in their old age.

If the course if open or closed, you don't walk on the course. Trespassing. I live on a course and lately I have seen people walking on the closed course. That is my backyard. Stay out.

No, your backyard ends at your property line...
