Default The Hillsborough Trail Saga Continues

So today a couple guys, with an asphalt truck and a roller show up. They are shoveling the asphalt from the dump truck on top of the depression, the other guys are spreading and raking it. I assume they will then roll it, put the cones back and we can all watch it to see what happens next. 2.5 months and this is what they come up with.

It sounds like a sinkhole or just plain settling in the street. The streets in the village of Hillsborough are owned and maintained by Sumter County.

Or am I not understanding?

I think JoMar is referring to the little sink hole on Hillsborough Trail in the middle of the road ... somewhat near Buena Vista Blvd. The County fixed the sink hole once ... and then later another depression happened right next to it. It is near a spot where the traffic begins to merge so it is a bit tight for cars and golf carts together.
Hope they get a "permanent" fix soon.

Correct me if I am wrong, JoMar. :-)

Gary7, I see you have 121 posts. I certainly hope you hang around on TOTV. Because your and Indydealmaker's explanations of things are clear as a bell, and I'm not left scratching my head and going, "Huh?"

Thanks, CFrance. I just try to state the facts.

Just like Detective Joe Friday (Jack Webb) in the 50s tv classic "Dragnet" apparently never said, "Just the facts, ma'am".

Thank goodness we are looking for sink holes again. My neck was getting tired looking for contrails.

Gary...exactly. I guess the good news is it seems to be traveling down the middle of the road and hasn't moved toward the curbs and the homes. It is a County road but they seem to have little interest in determining what is actually going on. I also suspect that one of these days there will be a meeting of a vehicle and golf cart where it narrows.
