A snowbird is a person who migrates to Florida for the Winter months and then goes home each summer. A Frog is a full time resident that is here until they croak (die). Not sure about the other 2.

I am sure I am wrong....as I really have no idea what "turtle" means, but it made me think and chuckle to myself (or cry hehe).
A turtle made me think of us poor folks trying to sell our homes and move to TV ASAP, but are stuck in this housing market. So we are in a sense moving to TV ever so slowly like a turtle.
Eventho I wish I was like that speedy turtle on the cartoons when I was a kid hehe. The turtle's name escapes me now.

Default Snowbird

As I have said in the past, I am not a snowbird. Iam a seasonal resident that pays full time taxes.

Do you pay part time taxes in Maine?

I hear you Yorkmaine!

IMHO ...

Snowbirds migrate to Florida for some of the winter months, possibly renting in different locations each year. Snowflakes drop in occasionally as Chuck mentioned.

Seasonal residents own homes in Florida. We pay taxes and amenities all year long although we don't always live in The Bubble.

Default As a former Mainer ........

As a former Mainer, We always thought that the Canucks were "Frogs".
Who else would put mayonnaise on french fries?

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

SABRMnlgs

Actually we put gravy on french fries and call it poutine. And if you're a Canuck who speaks french, that makes you a frog. Ribbet.

Default Snowbirds

We do pay full time taxes in both Maine and TV It's worth it. We are in the planning stages to move to TV full time and visit Maine in the Summer.
