I'm coming down the end of August for a week and am wondering what's new at Brownwood. Any restaurants open since May? Can't wait to see the progress.

Overpriced is a relative and subjective term. There are several off the campus dining establishments that are less expensive than those within TV, however, that does not mean those offsite locations are optimally priced.

Since I won't have a car and will be golf carting it I'll be sticking to the Villages. World of beer will be interesting.

Real Buzzkill for sure....everything is relative...it is not just about price, location or food, it is about atmosphere and people too...I enjoy restaurants in or right near the villages because of those extras.

Hey Shooter, you might try McDonald's here in TV, they still have their dollar menu! Actually, their coffee is very good and cheap.

If you go inside the McDonald's you can get the "senior priced" coffee for 55 cents with unlimited refills. I hear some cheapos even take their coffee cups from previous days and get refills.

I am a new "part-time" homeowner and wondering if you would mind telling me if there is anything you like about the Villages. I've read your last 10-15 posts and all are very negative. While I am not doubting my decision in the least to buy at TV, I seriously do wonder why you (and anyone who seems to despise it so much) would stay?

This is a serious question, as I cannot imagine being so unhappy with where I live.

Agree, if we don't support our retail folks at the Town Squares, you will end up with a lot of empty shops, and then what would happen to the entertainment everyone loves so much....

RickG, not sure it they were open in May, but City Fire is open.
