WHERE IS A POOL IN The V FOR HER TO USE?
Appreciate any help
Laurel Manor is uncrowded at 6pm and the best pool I’ve been in for exercise. Only 3-4 people there at that time every night. Shhh, don’t tell anyone.

All the regional rec centers have lap pools. Unfortunately they are for the use of Residents Only (not even guests or family permitted). Don’t know of another lap pool

Maybe another community would have a rec department more to your liking.

Sports pools are for residents only. There are few lap lanes and anyone swimming for two hours would monopolize access for others.
If she is 30 or over early morning or before dusk is a good time to swim in an "adult" pool. She could try a family pool as well. Two hours is still a chunk of time in any pool.
There are probably hundreds visitors that would like to use the sports pools and other facilities that are designated for residents only. And if your family member can do it, what about mine and everyone else's? You can see what the problem might be. She must have an alternative form of exercise. Pools are not easily available everywhere one travels.

I agree. Well said.

Most of us see that the OP is justifiably proud of this child and we share that
pride, but if everyone looked for a loophole we would not have the lovely way things are done here.

They broke the rules for you and you're whining. What's that word they use around here that starts with an E.

The sport pools are resident only, however if your granddaughter gets a signed letter saying she needs to practice her swimming, the regional rec centers will give her a temporary pass.
I worked at the regional centers for 6 years and the letters were accepted at that time. Check with your regional center for today’s guidelines

I'm not positive, but I think sports pools are for residents only...

What, that's already been posted 5-6 times?

I guess it would help to read the thread before posting...

She can go to Moyer rec. I for one would let her have the pool for herself just to watch an Olympian swim and I’m sure 95 % of poster would agree

The neighborhood pools are too small for serious swimming

My daughter was kicked out of Savannah pool swimming laps. There were two lanes and only one other swimmer. He reported her. She was kicked out by Community Watch. I had a major argument with Rohan about it. We now live in OTOW where she would be welcome to swim laps even in and enclosed pool.

They will report. The rules are there for a reason and we all should know them before buying in the villages.
