I am thinking this is a BIG rumor--but has anyone heard Morse sold land on 44 to Seminole?? I am thinking that there is no Indian Reserve Land here- so how can a Casino be built--but just thought I would ask--

I am putting my money, all of it, on that it is a rumor.

I think that the Morses would make different choices and would possibly use any nearby land to build a new compound for themselves; Grandfather, Gary and wife Renee, his three children and spouses and grandchildren of an age to marry... and then build new villages on the huge area they now live on in the middle of the villages that is golf cart accessible. They have a huge crew of folks who they must feel responsible for and want to keep them working. But that is ME thinking that they are good people, there are many who have different views. MANY.

Another clue to me is that they just built that big charter middle school for workers kids, so they must plan to keep the contractors and the other folks who work here to continue to have jobs. Now this is all conjecture on the part of a 73 year old busybody brain.

But that is just my guess. Heavens knows there are some souls that read my posts who think I know the developers personally and that they gave me my house. Rumors abound in this town for sure.

My big hope before I move on to the Village of Heavenly is to shake Gary Morse's hand and thank him. But I am not planning to move there anytime soon.

Nope, I can't see where ole Gary would be doing something non productive like selling land to folks for gambling. But that is my very, VERY humble opinion, and I trump you by 35 years of life and living in this complicated world, Tracey Moore RN I see your rumor and I raise you with my rumor.

Be nice to have a casino closer than Hard Rock but who knows whether it's rumor or not. I've found there are lots of rumors around here. But if a federally recognized tribe purchases private property it can become tribal land through a fee-to-trust application (I think it's called that) thereby the land becomes part of their reservation, controlled by the Tribe just as any other tribally reserved land, and it would be allowed to plan for a casino. Now that many tribal governments have a great deal of wealth because of their casinos, this is happening more and more.......especially California. So you never know.............if your rumor is true you could be living closer to a casino.
