100% agree. They're for having fun. However one defines that. If you wanna stand, stand. If you want to swim, swim. And if you're like me just jumping in, thats ok too. Lighten up for gods sake.
Yeah, but it appears from comments here, you're part of the problem, no splashing do to hairdos.

Some of you on here need to realize TV is slowly turning over. We live in Amelia, in the last year 3 homes have sold on our street to couples in their late 50's and early 60's.
Unfortunately, as owners age and move on, they're being replaced by a younger crowd. It's just a fact of life. And they don't all want to go to the pool and stand around or bob.

Just like the music at the squares is evolving to to satisfy younger residents musical tastes, so will the vibe at the adult pools. Live and let live. A pool is a place to relax for sure, but also to have fun.

One absolute in life is things change, you can embrace it and enjoy the ride, or just be the bitter "get off my lawn person".

Most pools south of 44 have very few helmet head hairdos. Younger crowds don’t have the need to get the weekly can of hairspray.

Wash and wear is a good thing in the pool

A Swimming pool by any other name,
IS,
WAS,
&
WILL ALWAYS BE...
A swimming pool!

It's not a trick question to me... but I've come to understand, accept and abide by the norm in T.V.

Can’t understand the whole hairdo thing. Just drive home at 20mph with the windshield folded down on the golf cart and hairdo is all good.

Turf battles, general squabbling, name calling, entitlement claims; I thought we left all that behind when we graduated from the kindergarten sand box. Apparently, some people regress as they get old!

Okay, okay, I'll bite.. Who called someone a name? Discussion is healthy, one can gain perspective.

With all undue respect, by your interpretation an inflatable "kiddie" pool is a swimming pool.
I propose a different interpretation. Any pool that has no area where a person of average height can just put their feet down and walk is NOT a swimming pool! It is a WADING pool! I am 6 feet tall and trying to swim laps at the sports pool (3.5 ft to 5.5ft) at Eisenhower my fingers hit the bottom. Not a proper SWIMMING pool. JMHO!

Some of the ladies have only a few strands of hair left. They carefully have it blown and set once a week so that they can feel presentable when they go outside. I never knew that before. When I visited my parents in the historic section 40 years ago I found my mother, a champion speed and lake swimmer, WALKING across the small Southside pool. I mean she had those things for breakfast… I asked why? She pointed to an older lady. Yes her hair had spray or something because it did sort of stay in place.

So I did learn young.
