I am very puzzled at OP’s apparent level of outrage over pool rules. At every public pool I’ve ever been to, there have been rules. Just because OP does not like one, doesn’t mean s(he) will get their way, and why in the world does the OP think writing about their upset on this forum would resolve the situation to their satisfaction? Perhaps they’re just venting?
Newbie, I think.

[QUOTE=Koapaka;1987730]I'd be careful about statements judging anyones "stupidity" in the same sentence where you state you believe $15K will get you a private pool in The Villages....just sayin.[/QUOT

Only off by a minimum of $60,000!

I agree the famous "Pool Walkers " should find another way to spend their time , not render pools virtually unusable for swimming.

I have. A week ago some woman brought her teenager and young kid to the neighborhood pool. The boy jumped in and fooled around like children do. I asked her if she by any chance knew the 30 year age rule. She looked shocked. I really didn’t think she knew. Then I suggested the nice family pool a block away. They left, I think they were more surprised than upset.

If there are people in the pool, please don’t try to swim laps. Go to a sports pool. The mistake people make is thinking that the neighborhood pools are “swimming pools”. As a past member of the swim team, I can say, they are not. Think of them more as a hot tub with cooler water and bigger for several people to use at once. These pools are “relaxing pools”. They were not designed big enough for everyone to have a float and polite space around that float when there are several people in the water.

I dont understand why you "assume" that he/she is a newbie....you know what they say...
He was only asking for clarification on the rules of floating toys.

This is one of the reasons I am relocating to the Villages. Love having these important issues discussed LOL

Why is the solution to move elsewhere ! Mostly read these comments from people from the NE. The fact is the residents pay a lot of money and there are not enough pools for the population here. The residents paid for everything here not the Morse family.

A resident is charged to use a country club pool ? what is the amenity fee for ? The maintenance charge at the end of the year ? Residents pay for every drop of water flower contractors we even pay for the common area maintenance for the businesses ! Now watch everyone’s head explode.

I’m so glad you did too ! The Morse family thanks you as well as you know they need that revenue for their planes estate hangars at Leesburg airport and their yachts.

The Country Club pools require a priority membership. Common knowledge. The CC pools have nothing to with amenity fees.

There was some idiot literally jumping in the pool how crazy is that. After his second jump in I just had to confront him in a nice way about the rules of jumping in. What a idiot.
That’s so sweet not. Pools are for swimming jumping all of it . Most other places have pools over a few feet ! They don’t shut them down when people want to use them ! They maintain them on off hours. Many people living here don’t remember normal life living with others. The attitudes are sad.

Your pool, you make your own rules. Community pool, community rules. Seems fair to me.
