The total for all states combined is just over 55,000.
I wonder what these numbers are based on, maybe permanent Florida residents only?
Or maybe these numbers haven't been updated for a long time?
Yes, I wondered about that... I also kept a log of that same data. Here is the record gleaned from the Daily Sun ("Where we're from" page)... as of March 2017. Data was given for every state EXCEPT ONE, Florida... perhaps the Florida number fills the gap between 55,000 and 113,000?

In a conversation with one of "Oldest" Villages Realtors (over 20 years) , I was told that about half of the newbies that move to the Villages come from the State of Florida. Now, they may have moved to Florida from another State prior to moving south. Obviously the numbers listed are just approximate and they haven't been updated for several months. One of the more interesting things about The Villages is the people you meet from all backgrounds, occupations and experiences.

Google list TV population as 157,000.

Since TV is the only one that keeps track of how many resident IDs come and go they would have an accurate amount however, they do list what state you are from on the board in the sales office. I do not believe that they have ever posted how many residents there are or previous state. But I could be wrong
