[QUOTE=kcrazorbackfan;1842895]Don’t think you want vultures in your yard. Use a shovel and throw it in the storm drain. There are much worse things that

For your information, bats are protected. They eat more bugs and mosquitos every night.
Don’t throw it in the drain

Once had a doctor tell me that any time a mammal acts out of character for its species, you assume it may be rabid until it is proven otherwise.

Once saw a bat out while hiking along a small river. It was about noon, sunny day and the bat was laying on a rock on the other side of the river. Figured it was probably rabid.

Then I GENTLY broomed it off the patio onto the grass and it is just lying there slowly moving it's wings. I know I shouldn't touch it but should health dept be called in case it is rabid or just leave it for the big birds. Health Dept is closed today.
I would not just leave it laying around. If it is infected with rabies, another animal could contract the virus by chewing on it.

Burial at sea, flush him.

Storm drain water is not processed, that water goes on your lawn. Sanitary sewer water (toilet) water is.

Bats are nothing but mice with wings. Put it in a ziplock back and place it out with the trash..

Bats are protected , eat bugs especially those pesky mosquitos that carry diseases - further more they can not take off from the ground. Take a shovel and gently move it to the base of a tree so it can climb high enough to take off. If it is still there tomorrow then call animal control. Do not dump it in the storm drain. That is a very cruel solution.
