Default Glass block removal

I am looking to hear from Villagers who have removed the glass blocks from their roman showers. I am thinking of doing it and would like to learn how people have done it successfully. Thank you.

Personally, I would use a carbide (concrete) blade on a reciprocating saw to cut out one block at a time. The first block will be a real pain, but taking a hammer to the glass to chip these out sounds like a real dangerous mess.
