Default Power on in Historic Side and Wingman Survived!

I just talked with my neighbor, and she informed me that the power returned to much, if not all, of the Historic Side of TV last night around 7:30 p.m. Hopefully, this has extended across Hwy 27/441 to the Spanish Spring business who had lost power, including SS Town Square, Rialto, and The Sharon. I have not confirmed that, yet, but it looked like that whole area was on the same line as the Historic Side. Also, my neighbor reassured us that our favorite Canada Goose, Wingman, was sighted by the pond behind the Paradise Library. All my neighbors on Paradise Lake were relieved and happy to hear that.

Hope that the Spanish Springs has power. All those workers and the business customers affected. I wonder if One Blood had power during this outage?

Sorry Fake News!

A post in a different 'historic side' thread did report yesterday that, "We were just on that side of town visiting a friend. We went in by the medical gate. People had power until we reached Shay. After that it was pitch black. Hopefully they will have all restored soon."

Wasn't Paradise Rec a shelter?

Here's hoping everyone is up and running today! Go Duke now takes on an entire new meaning for me!

I just talked with residents at Silver Oak and Weeping Willow and both have had power since 7:30 p.m. last night.

Also, Paradise Recreation Center was a shelter, as another person on Aloha stayed at Paradise during the storm and said that was done very well over there, including television. So, they must have been on generator power.

In addition, I just called the Holiday Inn Express on the SS side of Hwy 27/441 and they have power also.

Add Walmart in Summerfield is open with power.

So much for "fake news"!

I was at the Paradise center shelter. NO generators. Power went out at 1:30. Still no power past Shay. I understand that the Hotel in Sp Springs might have power, but the square has none. So it appears that the FAKE NEWS is actually misreported news Best to listen to the people that are really there.

Default Power out in parts of Rio Grande

Our power has been out since 1:30 am Sunday morning as well as some of our neighbors. Stoplights still out on parts of 441. I guess there are not enough police to direct traffic at the 4 way intersections. But most people are observing the stop and go rules and alternately letting cars in but it's pretty dangerous. According to Duke we should have power by Sunday.

I am the one you quoted. Friends were over at 9 this morning. Still no power after Shay. They just left our house, not sure if it came on while they were here.
