Default Power washing house soffit

I do my own power washing because I've seen the pros aggressively spray water into the house soffit, which makes me concerned about water getting into the attic or walls. Is my concern well-founded? Have you had problems with water getting into your house and creating mold?

Your concern is well-founded. Some contractors do not realize that they should never spray water upwards into the soffit. The vent holes in the soffit are designed to allow air to enter the attic to ventilate the attic space.

Best to ask for a soft wash.

IMO unless the held nozzle there there would be little water enter and if did it would quickly evaporate due to heat attic as long as had wide angle spry nozzle? IMO as long as had wide fan nozzle and didn’t stop in one spot and kept swiping motion little would enter? When I pressure wash my house I use wide pattern and keep nozzle couple feet away from house and rarely spray soffits. If soffit still dirty I use windex and rag like I do on eve drains.
