Default Premier vs designer

On pricing...is it better in the long run to buy a basic premier on an interior lot or get a designer stretched on a view or golf lot?

We have visited four or five premier homes and they are over sized designers. I would go with designer stretched on a view of a golf course.

I love the designers, but I moved to The Villages to downsize....it seems like they have a lot of wasted space that I wanted to get rid of.....formal dining room, formal living room.....I am very happy with my designer with extra stretches....

I do not think you get what you pay for in a premier. Lots of fluff but no substance. Both will be about $200 per sf, which IMHO is far overpriced, but the view beats the "butlers pantries". Depends on what you are looking for in your lifestyle.

We went with a designer on a corner lot, stretched it, golf cart garage, pool, upgraded everything available on the interior, major landscaping and still came in below the price of a basic premier.
Due to good advise, we never wanted the most expensive home on the block in our homes while working, but at our age and plans as frogs, we felt that was not a concern to us here. 2 plus years later, we are very satisfied with our decision.

However, if we were still entertaining, we might have gone with a premier, formal dining room etc., so consider what lifestyle you will be leading here.

I have a stretched designer, not on a view lot, but have private view The premier houses I've visited just seem like oversized dsigners with lots of wasted space and very little difference in construction or design. The premiers are way more expensive
Also I've heard it's almost impossible to sell an "inside" premier

we looked at both choices and have never looked back ----

Good Luck

You can stretch the larger designers to be similar in size to the premier models. The advantage is that the larger and view lots in designer areas are less expensive and the bond is a lot less.

Exactly, I think you are correct, especially regarding the bond prices. Beside the bond, taxes are much higher on the Premier Models. If money is absolutely no object........build a Premier on the best view lot available!
