Maybe you need to get out of downtown St. Louis? Where I came from insurance was 1/2 price down here.

Bought our cart 1 year ago and there were 60-70 carts in the store. Last week went in Spanish Springs store and they had 20 carts and this included used carts. Do not know prices now but last year bought 2021 Quitetech with most of Villages equipment for $12,500 including taxes from dealer in Webster. Had minor warranty issue and work was performed promptly. If maintenance is an issue would not worry much. Carts are very simple and should entail very little maintenance.

Hopefully, prices on Lithium battery carts will come down and create some competition for the quiet but smelly Yamahas.
Prices must have gone up a bit because I ordered a 2022 Yamaha Quiet Tech with most stuff on it and it was $17500 at The Villages Golf Carts. (I’m a bit picky.) They included a loaner for 5 months which to rent would have cost me several thousand to rent or so. An entry level Kia would have cost less.

Wait till you need a oil change or something, you’ll be waiting for ever

Gezzz, The Village Golf cart dealership is ready getting hammered here.

If this is the case, I hope they read this and change the way they do business.

Then again if they cater to the fat cats with unlimited funds, why change.

When we were looking 2 years ago, new carts were $16,000. We ended up at the Village Discount shop and saved some money.

45 years as a mechanic is amazing. 45 years at anything is amazing.
I regret not buying a 4 seater facing front and the suspension on the loaner carts are a treat compared to my cart. I'm like-minded with you and want to keep mine forever. No reason to trade it in its pristine. I just put new tires on after 5 years and about 7000 miles just for safety sake. Gave the old tires to a neighbor who needed tires badly.

I was talking about a second cart. Webster sounds like the place, we are going to wait until after the present medical climate improves.

I bought cart from dealer in Webster. You must have got more extras. My cost on the cart was $8,000 plus Village extras(wheels, lights, seats and enclosure) to $12,500 including tax. Paid 19K for 2015 VW Passat(loaded) in 2017. Glad I bought cart when I did

Since every commodity is WAY up it is not surprising golf cart prices are up. This is what you get when the government prints money.
As far as service goes, carts and clubs serviced both my carts today in my driveway in about 45 minutes. The villages golf carts does not do that!

Full timers make even greater demands on resources year round. What a ridiculous argument. If everyone worldwide would stay home and only buy bare necessities, demand would drop the immensely and prices would slump. Is this about not living life now?

Bush, blush, I think I got just about everything going, including marine fabric in a print for the back and top. Special paint, seats, lights etc. I like the artistic but conservative, highly visible and functional look. The only thing I did not get was a backup camera. I looked at used carts and several new cart dealers and they were a bit cheaper.

Perhaps The Villages is not for you. If you have to nickle and dime everything you want to purchase there are cheaper places to live.

We just bought a 2022 Yamaha from Villages Golf Cars. It’s been well worth it with the loaner they gave us.

Again, don't they come and go EVERY year? If so, why is it suddenly a problem THIS year?

My guess it's the sudden influx of new people buying homes... (and yes, I'm one of them, and I just bought a sweet used Golf Cart...)
