I'm not in Sanibel but I'd be glad to jump in on Prism service. We are in Largo and had 4 tv's plus internet installed on 10/11. We had not moved in but later in the week I was over doing some work and turned on the main tv and it was jumping and sound was off. I thought I had gone back to satellite tv! I called and CenturyLink messed around with whatever they do in their tech location to no avail. She finally told me she'd put in a repair ticket and a technician would call me and come out. This was on a Friday. Saturday evening we came by the villa and there was a note on the door that a technician had come by and we weren't here so I called the number he left. He said he had tried to call me but my number was "out of service". Well, this was the same cell phone I was talking to him on, so I told him the number was NOT out of service. He said I'd have to start all over and put in another repair request. (Each time you make a request there is a LONG wait for someone to help you.) I did call back on Monday and went through the whole process again. This time I was told to call another number and a Tier II tech would help me. Did this and after an hour wait was told another repair request was put in and a technician would be out this afternoon. Waited ALL day and didn't hear a word, so at 4 p.m. I called back and was assured a technician would be here by 5 p.m. No tech, no call!!! I got on the CenturyLink chat help and after 30 minutes holding was connected to a technician who apologized and tried what she could do from her location. Still no TV service!!! Finally, she gave me the number to call to have the whole dang service taken out!! I will call that tomorrow and go with
Dish, which I guess I should have done to begin with. By the way, our internet has been fine with CenturyLink, just no TV! A company that does not provide service just isn't worth it. I have more important things to do! Good luck! ![]() |

Comcast for too many years to remember. An occasional incident requiring service...for the most part their customer service is more than adequate. What I have found with all these tech oriented suppliers, the satisfaction becomes a factor of the technician one gets on the line. Most are very good and diligent. Some very few could care less and just want to get the call completed.
I have dish network at our other home and would say the same about them. btk |

For those with PRISM, how many simultaneous HiDef stations can you watch and/or record? I hear varying stories on this from one to two to as many as four. I am tempted to go with them but we find that at some peak viewing times that we need up to four simultaneous HiDef stations to be recorded. This is no problem with DirecTV and two DVRs but I am skeptical about PRISM being able to do this.
