When my husband and I first came here, guess what we thought...initially... especially with the piped in music in the squares. We used to joke about the concept in 'The Prisoner' all the time. How would you get the series to watch it as a group?

Been a prisoner fanatic since 1967 when I saw chimes of Big Ben in Canada in French
Was a member of 6 of one the prisoner appreciation society for a couple of years in the 80’s
I even named my dog Patrick McGoohan Blum
If you want to start a group I am in!!!

Default The Prisoner

So far ahead of its time and indeed too cerebral for the average viewer. The ending was mind numbing.

McGoohan was good enough friends with the Beatles to get one of their songs in the finale.

I think Mrs Peel, you are talking THE AVENGERS. Someone must be offering those reruns. I do not recall if they ever dared mention a Mr. Peel. Would never make it past the codes of the times.

As I recall Mr Peel was a soldier of some sort and MIA.
