Default Lake Sumter Landing Parking

While walking last night in LSL, a Sheriff driving along stopped his cruiser and activated flashing lights. Object of his attention was a vehicle parked in the wrong direction on a two way street. Fortunately, the owner and two companions where nearby and asked what the problem was. They were obviously visitors. The Officer said that the car was parked incorrectly and said that he was about to issue a warning. He also mentioned that the fine for that type of offense would be $151.

3 observations:

1/ I applaud the Officer
2/ On a crowded street, I can't imagine pulling into the oncoming traffic lane a backing into a parking space. (Lake Shore Drive by restrooms)
3/ What a pleasant surprise it would be to receive a $151 parking ticket.

Getting back to our cart , noticed that we were parked head in as carts do, but were straddling the line. Probably a finable parking violation.
