Default Protecting Our Bluebirds

This is the third hatch this spring of bluebirds in our backyard.
The first hatch went well, the 2nd. hatchlings were eaten by crows or black birds and never made it out of the nest.

This week there's 4 eggs (the 3rd. hatchling) and I was reading to eliminate those large birds, create a "Noal guard" so larger predatory birds can't get their beak in far enough in the house to eat the eggs.

It took a while for both parents to go back to the bluebird house but today they're coming and going in the house again like the guard wasn't there.

Hopefully it will give the little ones a chance this time.
Here's some pics of my creation...

what a cool setup! looks like you'll have to sit there with a shotgun, ready to protect the Blue's--no sleep for you!
