If Milton even remotely lives up to the hype, there are going to be folks in TV needing help. Cleanup, rides to and from appointments, shopping help, etc.

Does anyone know of organizations that do this, and who might appreciate another hand as a volunteer?

If it is that bad, just be a good neighbor and concentrate your help those around you. I am sure that you will find your work very rewarding and useful to those experiencing a need and less fortunate.

Last neighborhood most residents age was north of 80, with many widows or widowers. Three WW guys. Mass pre storm email for the Organized driveway party following storms. Groups split off to each street, 1/3 of the homes owners still up north. Before pic and after pic sent to them. Many have Home watch that does a pre check and secure items.Then return after to evaluate any storm damage in or out.
We also had a drone guy who survived roofs for damage, when shingles were in debris
