Default Vaccine location for Feb. 17th, 2021

At 11:23 p.m. on Feb. 16th, we received an email from GMR saying that the vaccinations for Feb. 17th will be given at Lake Sumter College in Sumterville. The address is 1405 County Rd.. 526A in Sumterville.

Were you originally scheduled to go to 3705 Wedgewood Drive?

I have the same situation and the original location was the Woodridge one
I was not even sure where Sumterville is but I found it is south of Coleman on 301.

I am just back from Sumterville I had a 9am appointment and arrived 25 Min early and I would guess less than 10 cars ahead of us. We were done in less than 10 Min. Had to drive thru a field but no problem. Than we were asked to wait 15 min.
GMR has it running very well.

At least you got an email. After seeing conflicting info online and my reservation email saying I should go to the Woodridge location, I tried to confirm but came up empty. Luckily someone at the Wildwood Community Center did have the info and I was able to make my way to the college site and get my first vaccine. GMR should have posted some signage at the Woodridge location but there was nothing and, as I said before, I did not get an email telling me the location had moved.

Glad that you were notified in where to go. We are due to have our second Pfizer shot tomorrow in Groveland. The last we heard was that Groveland was closed due to lack of vaccines.
Has anyone heard anything?

I’m going to’ take a pass’ on GMR. In addition to their locations bouncing around with little or no advance notice, they seem to have mis-managed the waiting list. My wife and I both registered online within the first 24 hours that GMR announced the vaccination site on Wedgwood Drive. Last week my wife received an email giving instructions on how to make a reservation. No mention that the vaccination site has now been moved about 20 miles south to Lake-Sumter State College. I have yet to hear from them. And there is no way to contact them.

I think not. Vaccines will be available in much increased quantities within a few weeks. We can wait. They’re probably coming to the CVS or Walgreens only a couple blocks from our home.

Default Gmr vaccination

My husband and I had our first GMR vaccination this morning at the Lake Sumter College site. Went smooth as silk. In and out within half hour, had breakfast at Mabels, which was very good.
