We took this printed form with us when we went two days later (Leesburg, Lake Mall). Arrived at 2:45 were completely finished at 3:45. Extremely well organized and very busy with dozens and dozens of staffers who were all polite, friendly and really good at what they were doing. From checking you in, crowd control, providing information as you were proceeding thru the line, giving injections and helping you exit. Whoever set this up and trained these people deserves an award. Hats off to Lake County! We will go thru the same process in three weeks for our 2nd shot.
Us too! Signed up with Lake county on 1/29 and received a call 2/8 and registered both of us for 1st dose 2/10. Long line at Lake Square Mall yesterday as they got backed up because of a medical emergency when we arrived at 1:30. 1 1/2 hrs and we were out the door. Agree very smooth process. I will add that they do have a restroom there and a couple of wheelchairs for assistance. My advice is if you can not stand for a long time, think about bringing your own wheelchair if you have one. They are very accommodating in trying to get folks inside out of the sun, there are several big fans going to keep the air moving. I noted they had 19 briefing tables going to insure your registration paperwork and ID are in order and 14 vaccination tables. Very well run! Cool thing, met a 100 yr old gentleman in line in front of us. He didn’t look a day over 90! Hope this helps and good luck to all.

Sumter County Health Department is now part of the myvaccine list ( Just a moment... ). They returned the GMR list back to GMR so that GMR could finish the vaccinations that Sumter County did not get to. The myvaccine list is where you sign up to get a vaccination for Sumter County Health now.

Here is the press release from Sumter County about the change.

Agreed. I have tried the publix website for days. After an hour and a half I do get to the appointment screen. After putting all my info in and hitting the confirm button it never goes through. I have put my information in so many times it is impossible to count. I sign in right at the time it starts and keep trying but the most frustrating part is to make it to the appointment screen put everything in and then not have it process your appointment. Who is in charge of the website? I would write a complaint but not sure who to send my comments to.

I posted earlier this morning about the Publix site, shortly after that a good neighbor and retired IT guy came by and told me he was on the site on Wednesday and he actually got into the "Booking" area when there were four appointments left at Mulberry. He had not even finished filling in the first page of the required information before all four places were gone. So, to us, it would appear that unless you get accepted onto the site within the first 15 mns or o you are not going to get an appointment.

He, like us, has no intention of driving all around Florida to get a vaccine, he will wait it out!

I am now signed up in three different sites and sooner or later a vaccine will be available.

A good neighbor of ours was given this number and got an appointment almost immediately. I think they have closed appointments pending more vaccine, but a good number.

website for Lake county is: lake.floridahealth.gov

Phone number that we called: (866) 201-690

We received our first shot on Tuesday this week. Scheduled for 2nd shot on 3/2.

First shot was inside the old Sears building at Lake Square Mall. You can schedule multiple appointments.

Second shot may be at a different location so we need to call and confirm.

The Tri-County area has vaccinated over a 130,000 folks with their first shot and I can't remember how many second shots. Be patient and they will get around to you IF you register.
Since we got on and registered (and got the first shot) with the Publix shot, we have received three calls from different places, plus the VA clinic, asking us if we wanted our shots. When we said we already had ours, they thanked us and said they would work their way down the list. So, we did not get anyone else's shot vacancy, they just skip us and go to the next.
There are a bunch of places popping up that will be offering the shots, so just be persistent or wait until your doctor has it for you. Either be patient or do like we did and spend a bit of time (like we don't have plenty of time right now) and get on the phone or Internet and search/register at as many places you can or willing to drive to. WE drove an hour for our shots, and it was a nice drive. If you want to resume "normal" then take some effort and work at getting vaccinated.
No one is going to seek you out to give you a shot. You have to do some things on your own. Not trying to me mean, just realistic. What else do you need to do right now with everything closed down?

I posted that number 2 days ago. When I called, I spoke with a very nice lady who booked our appointments over the phone at the Leesburg site. I shared it right away on TOTV. I encourage you to keep trying.

I think having more than one vaccine thread can make it easy to miss important posts.

Perhaps mod could combine posts.

What do you expect. With all the Villagers trying to get appointments do not even waste your time trying to get Mulberry or Wildwood. By the time you do Ocala is filling up where you have a much better chance. Try to book Ocala first which I did the second time and got appointment right away!

This is the site we used and within a week got a call to register for appointments and got our shots yesterday.

Rather than give up, I kept watch on the automatic refresh for another two hours as the number of appointments available continued dropping. Again, with only a couple counties left with appointments, I got the "Book Now" notice. This time, the "Book and Appointment" button worked, but every time I picked an available appointment time (in the only county left with appointments in the Panhandle), the system would tell me it was no longer available. And each time I was denied, I had to resubmit all of my info, pick another available appointment time from the times they gave me, and again and again I was denied. This is a lousy system, and I refuse to use it again. Public should fire their IT consultant.
I tried to get an appointment via Publix’s stellar system using 200 devices and still no luck! Tomorrow I will log onto the site at 4 a.m. using 300 devices. And if Publix wants me to, I will jump through every hoop and fill out the application over and over again . . . Right! Folks, enough already. Be patient grasshoppers, we will all get our vaccinations in time. In the meantime, social distance, wear a mask when necessary and keep those paws disinfected. 🤪

Maybe I was just lucky, but I tried the Walmart website yesterday and found it to be a user-friendly, accessible site and I had an appointment at one of the Ocala Walmart's in less than fifteen minutes. Got an immediate confirmation email with all details. So much better than the Publix site.
