Default Quantum Fiber info request

Does anyone in the Village of Charlotte or surrounding area use/have Quantum Fiber installed? Are you happy with it? Were there any problems with the installation?

We live in Pine Hills. Have had it for 2 months. Very happy with it. Called and guy was out 4 days later to install. Gave us 4 hour window when coming. He arrived at tail end of the window. Took him 30 minutes. Later that day we had a few techie issues with connecting some of our devices but a call to tech support solved those issues (we had not yet set up an account and had to activate it). Since then smooth sailing. No installation fee. $50 per month.

We are just down Hillsborough from you. We have had the CenturyLink, and now the rebranded Quantum Fiber, fiber-to-the-house service for 9 years. We have been quite happy with it. Outages are rare. The CenturyLink to Quantum conversion was done about 6 months ago. The installation, more specifically the replacement of the CenturyLink ONT with the QuantumFiber equivalent box, went without incident. $30 per month with autobill, including all taxes and fees.

We had it in Charlotte and it was great. Just moved to the village of Collier and signing up with Quantum was one of the first things we did.

We have Quantum, no problems at all. Great price, 200 MBS up and down. You can't beat that. Best deal in the villages. Highly recommended.

I concur with the above comments. I use quantum and Hulu+ and saved about $50 per month from Comcast. Speed and customer service is great. I also use their WiFi devices and have coverage in every corner of the house.

I live in Charlotte & love it, over 500 MBPS up & down. Installer was great. Definitely would not go back to Spectrum. Cost is $50 a month.

Had installation in Village of Santiago within past month. Installers were on time, professional, & helped us choose right spot to mount the box out of multiple options. The service worked immediately with super fast log on speeds. Initially we encountered frequent silent patches while listening to internet radio (which we had not experienced with Comcast). This has since almost entirely resolved, so not sure what the issue was. The installers said someone would return within 10 days to bury the thin cable snaking along the ground to the box, but no one has appeared to do so after more than 2 weeks. Our lawn service is managing to work around it. Glad to be rid of Comcast.

I have Centric fiber, as most new builds do. It is already installed and available the day you move in. You only need to call them to set up your account. No visits, no installation, as it is all done; wifi, router, modem, etc. are already installed. 1G speed, $65/mo, which is cheaper than most. Their TV packages aren't cheap enough for me, so we'll be streaming via YouTube TV, Netflex, etc.

I am up in the north in the village of Woodbury. I've had quantum fiber since the beginning of August. I am a remote worker so I use it every, day all day long. It's been very good so far. There was one day when I was having problems but I don't know if that was my VPN or quantum. I pay $70 a month. I am getting speeds of about 250 to 400mbs upload and download. Even though all these fiber companies advertise 1gbs you're never gonna get that. I guess I expected a little higher speed but 300 Mbs is more than enough bandwidth for the vast majority of people and 70 bucks a month is not bad.

The package includes the modem and two access points to expand coverage in your house. I didn't use the access points because I have a Google mesh network.

We had Comcast and Direct TV for 30+ years. We finally switched to Quantum Fiber about 6 months ago and have never looked back. For $30 a month (no $ increases - ever) and 200 up and down, we are thrilled! We got the introductory offer that is no longer offered. We live in Hillsborough. Our son signed up a month ago and got 500 up and down for $50 a month. Virtually no buffering or outages. Installation was a breeze. Cancel anytime with no penalties or fees. We highly recommend Quantum!

For those discussing internet speed, if you have the 1GB package you will only see that speed at your computer if it's hard wired. For WiFi, depending on your device you will see anywhere from 500-700 Mbs. From all my testing at my home and my friends who have Quantum fiber they deliver the speed they advertise. Quantum Fiber now installs a very good WiFi mesh network system for free as part of the service which makes all the difference in upgrading your home with very little effort.
