Default Fenney Google Earth Images Question

I was looking at a Google Earth image of Fenney, and noticed what appears to be areas equally distributed of disturbed earth. Does anyone know what they are? Were these some sort of soil tests? Just curious.

which areas do you mean? the 'white' areas (as opposed to the brown/green areas) If that is what you mean those are the areas that were/are being developed. Google Earth is a few years behind so what you are looking at is not current. Hope that addresses your question.

It is quite different now. Scroll down to a topic "Southern Oaks" there are recent drone videos that you can look at, it was just a few days ago that it was posted on here. Shows Fenney, DeSoto, McClure, and Southern Oaks construction and excavation.

Not the construction area. If you look to the right side of the image it looks like a pattern of squares. If you enlarge the image, it almost looks like the were testing every so many yards. Still, just curious.

What would they be testing for?

I don't know what they would test for. But in the image it clearly has a pattern to it in a large area.

Do you think it was a grid for surveying?

You may be correct. They look like they are equal distances apart.

My guess would be for Sinkholes? Might be testing the depth see how close the cavities and aquifer are?

Reminds me of New Jersey & Staten Island.

Could it be Soil Boring or Compaction Testing?

Again, those holes could only be created by extraterrestrial means. Prove me wrong.
