I've searched and found a few stations that are okay to listen to in TV, but I still feel like I might be missing some. Of course I have the local station included in my presets, but what stations do you listen to and recommend?
I'll give any good station a try, but I'm particularly interested in the following types... * Classic rock * Current hits (yes...I like to keep in touch with what my kids are listening to...heheh.) * Easy listening/soft jazz * News talk - I'm especially interested in getting a station that carries national talk shows, particularly Rush Limbaugh. (I'm not saying if I like Limbaugh or if I just want to hear what the other side is saying. So please don't turn this into a pro/con Rush Limbaugh thread. I just want to know if there is a station for his show.) * Sports talk Thanks for the feedback. |

Sirius XM. Worth every penny if you travel much.

Agreed. The choices available in this part of Florida are painfully bad. Sirius XM is your only hope.

95.5 classic rock
94.1 today's stuff...(yuck)...lol 96.5 good conservative talk radio As far as sports I listen to 620 out of tampa because I'm from that area. It's fuzzy but it's there. Also 104.1 plays good classic rock on the weekends. |

We have free Sirius XM radio in our new car, and I would never pay their exorbitant fees for a subscription. I like to listen to a combo of oldies & new stuff, & have had trouble finding an XM station that combines the old with the new. Also, satellite reception can be on & off depending on trees, buildings, etc. that may momentarily block out your favorite song. I'll stick to FM, and usually listen to 98.5 FM a station out of Ocala/Gainesville.

I use Sirius for talk radio (Channel 125) but they don't have Limbaugh. They do have Beck, Hannity and Levin.

I listen to 105.9 Sunny FM out of Orlando while driving around and running errands, uptempo mix of Classic Rock, 80's and some Oldies. Some people have complained about the high cost of SiriusXM, but I found if you drop the Howard Stern Channels and a bunch of the junk they try to pile on as extras and pay for the whole year up front, it was less than $100 a year! Well worth the phone call to their customer retention reps.
I enjoy having CNN, ESPN and all the MLB, NCAA and NFL games to listen to while we travel.

Try 96.5 Orlando for great talk radio and 105.5 Orlando (The Duv) for great oldies (50's through 70's)
