Please join me in trying to get Trader Joe's to come into the Lady Lake area! We have the people to attract a store of this quality and we deserve to have a great option for grocery shopping!
You're so right, robertcraigpoe. I love Trader Joes....good quality, fair prices, and great food. I used to travel to Manhattan or New Jersey, as Staten Island didn't have a Trader Joes. Not until we sold our home and wee ready to moe to TV. Now they have one in Staten Island....timing is everything. How can we help to coax Trader Joes to come here? Let me know if I can help. Trish

Fresh Market's prices are way high, like Whole Foods. Trader Joe's prices are very moderate.

I went on to the Whole Foods' web site, typed in zip code 32162. the two closest Whole Foods to TV are in Orlando and Winter Park, which according to the Whole Foods' web site are 73 and 74 miles from zip code 32162. Probably too far to buy ice cream...unless you bring a cooler with you.

I've always thought their cheeses were just awful and their premade sandwiches lack meat, their produce is plastic wrapped and often way out of date and their sushi uses fake seafood with fish flavorings....eeccchhhh!
sorry please keep them far away from the villages (unless you want their lousy '2 buck chuck' wines! )

they have been banged over the head by the health department repeatedly for some of their practices!

Gosh. I have only heard raves until what you said Big Lew. I don't feel as envious now. I have never been in one.

I am having serious Kroger withdrawal.

Never been to a Trader Joe's. Gracie I have to agree about your Krogers. We drive 45 mins to one when we need good ingredients. Couldn't find veal or Chianti in this county so a Kroger list is started.

Are you SURE you were in a Trader Joe's or was it some other store with a similar name?
In all the years I shopped at Trader Joe's, I never saw a premade sandwich, and never saw sushi of any kind.
I have shopped at Trader Joe's in California and in New York for nearly 20 years and everything I bought there was of the finest quality.

Where I live in Central NY, we don't have many upscale food stores (if any), but we do have Wegman's, and I have one less than a mile from my home. Wegman's is one of the things I'll miss most when we move to Florida next year. Alec Baldwin's mother Carol lives in the Syracuse area, and Alec told a story on Letterman of how he tried to convince his Mom to move to the Left Coast to live near him, and her answer was, "What, and leave Wegman's?" That's how good a food store it is. TV needs a Wegman's.

Sounds exciting, but I must admit I don't know what WAWA is. Please enlighten me.
