Default Real estate agencies that have good training for new realtors.

Good morning.
I just received my real estate license and am looking to work at a agency with quality training. Are there any realtors out there that could lead me in the right direction? Thank you.

To clarify, almost none of The Villages licensed agents are Realtors. Most of the Realtors in The Villages work for outside companies. As a licensed agent, you should not refer to yourself as a Realtor unless you have the NAR designation.

I agree. The same as with every other license, degree, registration, certification, or professional designation, etc.

If you do not have the appropriate license or any other professional designation you are not it!

Where we came from met so called financial advisors whose entire training was teaching math and owning a computer program.

And remarkably people allowed him to guide them financially with their life savings.

To clarify, I didn’t refer to myself as a REALTOR, which I agree is the real estate agent professional group. And I believe it is in all caps. Just looking for a brokers agency to get me started.

The OP NEVER said they were a "REALTOR"... please re-read the message.

BTW, anyone who passes the FL state real estate exam can easily become a REALTOR, it's nothing more than passing a simply ethics exam and you pay a fee, bingo, your in. And please don’t waste my time telling me they are “better” because they have to adhere to the NAR ethics code. There are no process in place to check and validate NAR members follow the code except when a customer is smart enough to recognize they have been juked and make a complaint.

Less then HALF of those who are real estate agents in FL bother to take the NAR path.

The big ‘R‘ means nothing to me. I prefer to interview agents and go by my impressions of them.

It like the “heart healthy” logos on food. It means nothing. Pay the fee and get the logo.

What I suggest is visiting a few of the larger MLS sales companies in the area and inquiring about their training programs. In a city in which I lived years ago one company in particular had incredible training for both new agents and continuing education for experienced agents. The guy who owned it made it a point to attend sales seminars all over the country for ideas and to keep current with changes in technology. He ran an outstanding company.

I am not a realtor or agent and never have been and never would want to be. The whole genre makes me want to run away from them.

However I binged this, (not googled)

I hope it is a help to you.

Sorry if I misunderstood. I was trying to make the point that some business people throw around terms and titles that they don't actually have. Some make up titles that don't even exist. Good luck.

I may be all wrong, but if it were me, I’d look for a smaller brokerage where you might get more personal attention and guidance rather than the larger nationwide agencies. I don’t know that for a fact, just my gut reaction.
