Default really disappointed in our big electronics store on 441.

We went to check out home theater seats. We have seen them at the store in Jax. Sales person said they only display and carry them at their high end stores. WTH, Jax is high end and the Villages is not? We asked to see entertainment centers and we were told the same thing again.

Jacksonville is the largest city in the continental U.S. in land area, and has a population 8 times that of The Villages. Lots of things available in Jacksonville are not available here. My guess is there is not a huge demand for home theater seating in TV and therefore little to no reason to stock them here.

Just because they don't stock them does not mean that thy should not be able to get them, especially if they are sold in other branches of the same store.

Maybe the store in Orlando has them?

I have found a number of items not carried in our local Best Buy that you can get in Orlando or even Ocala. I guess our store is not full size or "fully equipped" and that is the gist of the OPs message.

We had a home theater complete with surround sound and a 10-foot screen at our home up north. We shopped for "theater seating" at furniture stores. Better quality and better price than at the "big electronics store."

Maybe if you contacted "our big store's" home office they will tell you why they consider The Villages, not high end.
What percentage of homes in TV actually have a media room with theater style seating?
Sorry for your dissapointment..................

It sounds like the sales person might have meant "high volume" stores and not necessarily high end. If I'm not mistaken, Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida with almost one million residents. Compared to that, The Villages is a rather small community.

Try Kent furniture in Belleview. It's a nice store. I thought I saw seating that you are looking for in the store. Call them.
