Default Realtors outside of TV Realty

Hi again everyone!

Okay, so I'm being really thorough, which is absolutely the right course for me. We've been working with a TV realty agent and she is doing a fabulous job for us. But of course we are missing half the market. It seems Prestige Realty picks up many exclusive listings, probably from FSBOs, but do they also carry all the MLS homes? We're looking for a really good realtor(s) that can zero in on our wishes and not be high pressure, just thorough. And we want to cover everything for sale within 2 mi. of 466. Any ideas, recommendations, secrets to success?

What a great group you are! Thanks to all,
Peg

Prestige wins again!

We used Marsha Meuser (Say moyser) at Prestige and she did a great job for us as buyers. NO pressure at all. She quickly got the jist of what we were looking for and zeroed in on some great resale properties for our consideration.
And yes, they have access to all MLS properties as well.

One thing we did notice, no reflection on Prestige, of course, was that TV listings often showed better. I think they are very particular to get folks to improve the "curb appeal" of their homes. Not always the case with the MLS places, but much more variety to choose from and often at more realistic prices for today's market.

Another thing, look at a lot of places. As we started looking we found several that were "the one", only to see another property more suitable 1/2 hr later. Keep looking and the cream will rise to the top. You'll know when the right one comes along!

Good luck on your house hunt. There are so many good agents that live directly in the Villages. There are also several agents who also have worked in the Villages New Home side but transfered to the MLS side.

As for ease of use of a good web site I'd recommend http://www.lylesellsfla.com/

That does not mean I recommend the person because I have not used him, but I can tell you he answered several questions I had quickly.

Good luck

Marsha Meuser, Prestige Realty. Knows her stuff, low pressure, and a Village resident. She listens and that makes all the difference. Good Luck.

We would highly recommend Lyle Gant, (we found his information on this site) and he can be contacted through his webpage:

http://www.lylesellsfla.com/

We looked at over 25 homes since last May through both TV Real Estate and with Lyle, and he found us our dream home without any high pressure. He also gave us a most informative packet about taxes, local info, etc. Just lots more info than what we had received from the other agents we worked with.
We closed last Friday and couldn't be happier. Having been a Real Estate broker in NY for over 10 years, I can say that Lyle is a true professional.

We are actively looking with Lyle also and like his great package of the finer details you won't get from the Villages staff and his honesty. He'll tell you which ones are priced too high and give you good info on comparing resales to new homes! We'll be down again in Feb Lyle!
