Default rebuilding after lightning

Last year (I think last summer), 2 houses were destroyed by lightning - one in the Village of Sunset Pointe (on Pelican Way)? that has been rebuilt, and another in the Village of Virginia Trace (can be seen from the Canal/Stillwater gate from the cartpath).

There was a Daily Sun article while I was there about the one in Sunset Pointe, but no mention of the one in Virginia Trace that was struck near the same time, I think.

I was in TV in June and noticed the one in Virginia Trace is just sitting there, appears no repairs have been attempted. Does anyone know why?

I heard (just gossip really) that it is stuck in the court system, some kind of inheritance issue.

A couple of months ago I golfed with a gentleman who lives on the same street in Virginia Trace as the house that burned. From what he told us there are legal issues at play and nothing can be done until those issues are resolved.

I've heard the same, that really, really involved ownership and other issues are complicating rebuilding immensely.

Glad I don't live nearby.

Default Finally - Progress!

Noticed Saturday that demolition of this damaged house apparently began this week. Roof is gone and it appears that most if not all of the interior has been cleaned out.

I was just by there this morning. They left the bird cage, pool, and most of the exterior walls, the rest is gone. (At long last.)

I thought they would knock down the whole place but it appears they will use the exterior walls again. The sign in front if from a reconstruction company.
