Default Recommendations needed for shipping a car

We'll be moving from the Philadelphia area soon. Any recommendations for an auto shipping/transport company would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

use the auto train-easy to do and no way near the cost of other ways to do it.

I used Dependable and was pleased with the service. But that was eight years ago. Times and companies change.

We had a car shipped from Berks county Pa to the Villages last month by john@shankbrosautotransport.com. Very pleased with the service and price.

Our daughter is taking the auto train from that area next week. She booked a reclining seat rather than a room. The total is $366. She will be dropped off in Sanford

We are taking the Auto Train from Sanford to Lorton VA next month. 2 people private room with 2 beds and private bath with shower. $703 which includes dinner and breakfast. Save about 850 miles of driving. Take a reclining seat and it is about 1/2 the price, but I am spending my kids inheritance.

Try to get a good friend or family member to help. We had our son drive our car down from Indiana. We paid for gas and his plane ticket home. Much cheaper than shipping it.

We brought down 5 vehicles (long story) from Allentown, PA, 1 was shipped with the furniture at a cost of $1300, the others all went by Auto-train at around $200-$250 each plus the cost of the transportation for the people.
By the way, if you decide to drive, avoid 95 until south of Delaware due to the 495 bridge closing.

If at all possible drive the car down. That's what I did. My friend drove my Ford Escape with a trailer full of stuff and I drove the 72 Cutlass convertible. Killed 2 birds with 1 stone and was able to keep an eye on my collectible. $300 in gas for both vehicles.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. Unfortunately, the auto train isn't an option for us ... (long story short, we'll be traveling with our dog).

Any additional recommendations for a reputable shipping company would be most appreciated. (We are coming from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which is a suburb of Philadelphia.)

Thank you!

Are you open to having someone drive it down for you, or is it preferable to have it done thru a "real" company. It's why I asked from where exactly and approximately when.
