Default Recycle all your aluminum cans with the Lions Club

The Lion's Club pick up aluminum cans at every postal station north of 466. Please donate your cans. This is one of our biggest fund raisers and we can use your help. Remember all the money received is used in this area to help many charities. Thank you in advance.

Is this a Thanksgiving drive or is it all year long? I usually give my cans over to the teacher who lives at Doggie Doo Run Run. She buys things for her pupils with the money they get once they have enough cans for the trip to Leesburg.

Judylou, this is good to know, thank you. Are there Lion's containers for aluminum cans at every postal station north of 466?

I love the fact that we now donate our newspapers to a church, because of a previous thread telling us how to do it. Good information!

Yes, they collect every day all year long. Please help us if you can. It is much better than giving them to the garbage man and most people pick up their mail everyday.

Is there any plan to expand the collection area to locations south of 466 or even 466A?

Default Lion's Club

I don't believe The Villages will allow us to do that. If we could can you imagine all the cans we could get and all the people we could help. You can always save them and take a nice golf cart ride and drop them off at any postal station north of 466.

Do we just bring them in clear plastic bags and leave them at the postal stations?

There is a container at the postal stations to put your cans in.

Does anyone know a charity that collects water bottles?

We took our newspapers to a church bin tonight - thanks for the suggestion Warren!

You may want to review the social policies of the lions. I donate our cans to the animal shelter in Panasoffkee.
