Default Recycling

We will be closing on our house 12/29 on Raven Croft Terrace in The Village of Sanibel. Does The Villages do recycling? Glass, plastic, cans, newspaper, cardboard? If so, do we have to take it somewhere or do they pick it up with the trash?

Thanks!

Donna

Trash is picked up twice/wk...recycling once/wk. They ask that cardboard, glass, plastic, newsprint and cans be placed at the curb in clear plastic bags on the designated day. There is also a pickup for yard waste on another day. Use paper recycling bags that are available at Home Depot, Loews etc.

Default Recyclables

Thanks for the informaton. Back home we use plastic bins for the recycling instead of pastic bags. I guess there is a cost to do the right thing.
Do you have to separate the recycling into its own pastic bag? Like newspaper in one bag, plastic in another?

Thanks again

Donna,
Recycling Plastic Bins, like em. Use them here in Rochester NY. You can put ALL recyclables (no separating necessary) into same clear plastic bag. We use 2 bags, one for newspapers and 2nd bag for all others. Take the newspaper bag out when it's pretty full.
