Default Redbox in Villages' Publixes.

Redbox Locations | Find DVD Locations at Redbox.com and Rent a Movie

I just did a search of Redbox kiosks in the Villages and came up with a number of them in the Publixes in the Villages.

Anyone use one of these Redboxes in the Villages Publixes yet.

Publix stores in the Villages used to have Blockbuster Expresses but Redbox bought them out about 6 months ago.

That's great news because I go to Publix all the time, we're not fans of Sweetbay. I was always wondering why they didn't have one at Walgreens on 466 when the Walgreens on Rolling Acres Rd had two Red Box machines. Anyway, I never switched to Blockbuster because they wanted $3 for movie and a Blue Ray was even higher.

I use the Redbox at Sweetbay all the time. They just sent me a 50 cent coupon for this weekend. The price is hard to beat, and it's easy to use.

Have never used RedBox. Can you return a DVD taken out say at Sweetbay at one of the Publixes? That's now that 3 Publixes in the Villages seem to have RedBox kiosks?

You can return a DVD to any Red Box, even in the next city. We had 8 Red Box locations within five miles of our home in Baltimore and we returned them wherever it was convenient. A Blue Ray is only $1.50 and I think Blockbuster is about $5 and they don't even have that great a selection, whereas Red Box will have almost every major release with many Blue Ray copies.

Tal, I don't know if you can rent a movie one place and return it to another. Sweetbay is closer to me than the other grocery stores, so I just use their Redbox.

Yes, you can return a Redbox rental to any kiosk in the country.

Say you have a CD in the car and forget to return it before leaving on a trip. You can drop it off anywhere along your route and be good to go.

Another really nice thing is that you can check online to see which redbox location has the movie you want in stock and you can the reserve it (provided you have your credit card info on file with them) and your movie will be held until 9:00 pm on the day you make the reservation. The return will need to be made by 9:00 pm the following day. This is nice because it seems that the newest releases are not normally available by the time I get to one of the machines and check.

You can return it to any kiosk nationwide. They publicly mention that on the home page of their website.

Rent Movies Online - DVDs, Blu-Ray™ & Games | Movie Rentals at Redbox

So you can check out a movie at the Publix Redbox and return it to the Sweetbay or Walgreen's Redbox, no problem.
