How long before something’s sold? I see when people put golf carts up in here but I don’t see when they sell.

And this matters because...?

Possibly:
- Wonders if hers is taking too long to sell - Doesn't want to waste time calling about carts that have already sold but not been updated - Curious about the market and whether this is the right time to list a cart for sale

The most likely result of any item being sold is that the seller will just delete the ad. People sometimes post a sold message and leave it but that is not the norm.

IMO Some just delete after sold, some don’t delete add either way and takes so many days for add to fall off. Some may ask too much and it just sits there. And very few updated add sold. But, most just disappear from deleted or time ran out. |

There are several homes for sale still listed that I saw on Zillow or Realtor.com as having transacted many weeks or months ago. I emailed TOTV about the many stale listings but, they didn't reply back. I even messaged a couple of those sellers suggesting they remove their ad if the property is no longer available. But, their ads are still live. Shaking my head...there has to be a better way. Maybe all ads should expire in 30 days - then it's up to the lister to repost them. Also, a pet peeve, almost ZERO of the Classified listings have the DATE of POSTING included in them. What are people thinking? Frankly, TOTV should require a posting date which is very helpful to those searching. |

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I mean if merchandise was only up there for a short time, then I think it would be used more often.
I don’t know, I guess since TOTV doesn’t make money from the sale of merchandise then it doesn’t really matter.

I bought my golf cart from an ad on TOTV. It was a semi-busy time (beginning of April) and most people that I contacted (all that were well priced) didn't have their cart up for sale for very long. Usually not much more than a week.
Especially if it's a Yamaha and under 10 years old it should sell fairly quickly if the pricing isn't way out of line. |

They can if you chose premium listing which means it stays at top couple pages and don’t fade into the 6, 8, 15 page category?

When we listed our 2020 Yamaha it sold within a week and we just deleted all the ads.

I just recently saw a 'Pending' on an ad, so maybe some enhancements have been made. (But it was the first & only 'pending' I have ever seen).

If TOTV has timed, automated expirations on their ads, it is not operating correctly. If they don't, they should. |
