Default Music at the pools

We mostly go to the El Santiago Rec Center pool. Music is played (WVLG) for the guests. This is a family pool and sometimes gets a bit crowded. What other pools in The Villages plays music and is it an adult or family pool? I like the music being played and would it would great to have alternatives.

If you put music on at our pools without ear buds tightly connected to your head you will be flogged. They were going to pass around a petition to get music to our pool but nobody wanted to spearhead the project for fear of the big mouths. Either way I'm good with the quiet or The Villages radio is perfect for us. Ozzie Osbourne all day would not be for the crowd at our pool. Peace Out!

As far as I know it's just the family pools and it will be the local radio station that will be on.

Default Will be wearing my earbuds

When I come to visit in September, I will have the earbuds on if I want to listen to music, or I will take out the earbuds and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the pool. I will be renting on the Historic side near the Southside Village Rec Center. That pool is open until 11:00 pm and I love using the hot tub . I must say if I were to buy in The Villages right now, a house near that pool with the hot tub would be a strong selling feature for me.

It is great that everyone will use earbuds to listen to their favorite music, but that is not the question. What other pools have music? Names please!

Unfortunately here at the Sanibel pool there are some moroons that feel it's their right to force anyone else to listen to their music. I like music, but I do not like someone else forcing me to listen to theirs.

When I go to the pool generally around 5 PM if anyone is still around I ask every single person if they will mind some music while I exercise. Only once in two years has someone said they would prefer not to listen. If someone comes in later I generally tell them if the music is too loud, I will turn it down. I apologize for my " moronic " behavior.

there are many people out there who are inconsiderate, lack respect for others and feel they can do no wrong. They either don't realize it or could care less. It's not about what they want and it's not a "right".

Lynnhaven has music once in a while when they are having a birthday party or some other celebration. They have even hired singers once in a while.

Churchill Downs has a family pool and it is usually rather quiet unless someone brings their boom box and others do not complain.

Laurel Manor is usually also quiet. Very busy though with the Villages' swim teams and other activities.

We enjoy family pools because it's fun to watch the younger families with children. The ones we have gone to have WVLG playing which we like. The last time we were there in May, a family brought their own tunes which we also didn't mind except hearing both at the same time was maddening. Rather than rock the boat we left. Probably should have said something.
