Default Snowbird season is early?

I've read many a post regarding gates being hit by snowbirds! We've been here for the month of August and have seen at least 6 gates down. Snowbirds have flown south early this year!

Why do I feel like bots are starting to take over TOTV? So many useless threads.

"snowbirds flying south" presupposes snow that they're flying away from. I doubt many places in the USofA (possibly excepting the north slope of Alaska) has snow on the ground right now.

How do you know that it was snowbirds who hit these 6 gates?

Why do you think it was snowbirds?

Who else could it be? Full time residents are perfect drivers and model citizens. I learned this from reading TOTV.

Nah. If the snowbirds were here that number would be double.

Are they actually being hit or taken down by the guards? I know during the storm they removed the gates since the guards went home which I did not know they did. How do you know they were hit?

This is basically a repeat of your post on 04-22-2023, 04:43 PM. What are you after?

So on the way up to play ElDiablo Saturday early morning, as we crossed in front of 13 gates. I mentioned couple had that trembling issue as we drove past. Sure enough little over 3 hours later, on our return trip, one gate was down, and the other was hardly moving upwards when a car approached.

Sorry OP have been sitting at more than one gate and watched it slowly rise, and then fall off. At 3am the Duval exit gate wouldn’t raise at all, had to call CW. I might add they are heavier than they look when you have to move them off to the side.

No snowbirds involved just a gate needing a short vacation.

If we snowbirds were such poor drivers then how do we manage to drive thousands of miles back & forth between our 2 homes year after year without any accidents? We actually know how to properly navigate roundabouts, use turn signals and refrain from driving under the influence. You full time TV residents are the worst drivers in the state. Half of you are so blind, deaf, & senile, you can't safely drive to the nearest Walmart let alone to a home that is a thousand+ miles away!

I am sick & tired of all you snowbird haters! You are just jealous because we can afford to spend our summers in a temperate zone and can actually enjoy being outside while you hide inside with your air conditioners running. A bit of advice, try not to write posts like yours when you are drinking.

No one actually said snowbirds were poor drivers. I think they are pretty good. They don't miss nearly as many gates as the frogs. That takes a really good aim.
Rah! Rah! Rah! Goooo "Birds!!!" 😃😀😃😉
