Default Tray Ceiling question

We are doing some painting...What do you paint on a tray ceiling ???

The sides ??? the ceiling??? None...

Please HELP !!!!

Paint the vertical sections the same color as the walls. This gives the illusion of more height and also accentuates an interesting feature.

You can also consider painting the vertical walls 1-2 shades darker than the room walls, leaving the ceiling the original ceiling color, if you decide to do crown molding, the color contrasts really pop.

I haven't thought of mirrors on my ceiling since my mid 20's! I will think about this now again. Hmmmmmm...

Thanks for all the help. Ended up painting the verticals. Steve King painted the whole house...GREAT JOB !!!!

We added crown molding along the top and bottom and then rope lighting behind the lower molding. We painted the same color as the walls between the upper and lower molding.
