Smile retirement

You cannot believe how quickly you can get a taste of the Lifestyle and make a selection on your villa or house. We did it in 3 days and have absolutely no regrets. Our salesman learned our needs and followed through with options. We thought we would buy a villa when we came and ended up with a designer house with his guidance and don't regret the decision. Good luck to you.

The maximum stay on a Lifestyle Preview is 7 days and 6 nights. If you can do that, I would highly recommend it. There's just so much to see and explore!! Our villa came with 2 bicycles and a golf cart and biking around the various neighborhoods would be a blast. Unfortunately for us, it was a little too cold for that while we were there. So many places to see, so many restaurants to try, so little time.....................

BTW, if you want to see any properties around TV, you need to make arrangements with one of the agents; otherwise, they will not bother you at all. We spent a full afternoon with Ron Delk and he was so gracious and accommodating and made us feel that he had all the time in the world to spend with us. By 5:30 we were totally pooped, but he never rushed us or said he had something else to do. Honestly, the time flew by and we had no idea we had kept him busy for so long! He was very willing to meet with us again, too. If you don't have an agent in mind, they will be happy to assign you to one. I doubt there are any you wouldn't like.

After meeting with a Villages representative and if you think you might want to purchase a home, it would be very advisable to also contact an MLS agent. As you probably know, Village agents only sell homes listed through The Villages. For the homes listed through an outside agent, you will need to work with an outside agent. Outside agents cannot show homes listed through TV, and vice versa.

Best of luck to you, and keep reading all the posts here on TOTV!

If you are simply looking at the lifestyle, you can probbaly get an idea in 3 day...if you are seriously thinking of buying you would need more time...5 minimun if you are a buyer who knows what you want, but 7 (or more) if you are an indecisive buyer. After looking for 3 years we used the 5 day plan. You will not buy in 3 or probably have your questions answered (or better said know what questions to ask!!!)
