Not sure if you are renting or buying, but I believe there is a 2 dog restriction for all homes in The Villages. If you are a new resident and have more than two, you may bring them but not replace them as they pass on, until you get to 2. I'd check with your agent to confirm.

I don't think I've ever seen a pet restriction enforced here, unless there is a complaint to community standards that requires an investigation.

Possibly, but personally I've never seen a 3- pet home.

Here is the link for the specific deed restrictions, I checked ours, and we are limited to 2 pets.

VCDD Deed Compliance - Sumter County

Hope this helps.

My neighbor has 3 dogs. Hoping a couple go soon. Will report them if they replace them. Too many. Too much barking.

I'm with you. I'm a dog person, but I'm also an obey-the-rules person.

I was a 3 pet home here for quite awhile when I had my cats.

Most Villages have pet restrictions of two domestic pets with no size restrictions.
Some Villages only allow one pet. I think it was Warren that posted his Village only allows one.
It's best to check your own restrictions.
We were told by a Villages agent that pet restrictions exist to prohibit breeding.
We know a lot of people with two dogs plus some indoor cats.
Polar Bear - perhaps when you visit, pet owners hide a few pets.

Of course, your dog should be toileted at home on your property, or at the dog park.
Please don't let your dog pee on private lawns.
If your dog should have an accident while out for a walk, pick up right away and take it home with you.
And above all, enjoy your pets; most of us are very pet friendly!
